Welcome to the Creating Peaceful Schools Website!

2026 ART & WRITING CHALLENGE
2026 YOUTH ACTIVIST GRANT
The Mt. Diablo Peace & Justice Center was established in 1969 as a focal point in the East Bay where the community could gather to create a "local voice for peace and justice".

Creating Peaceful Schools is a program of the Center.  Its purpose is to work with the schools to encourage  a culture of peace through education, advocacy, and community building.

Currently we have two contests to engage middle and high school students, and recently announced the award winners for our 2026 event, just completed!
